Publishing Ethics

Editorial Independence

IAEEEE Conference Secretary handles all communications between editors, reviewers and authors and coordinates conference management process. Paper review work is led by Organizing Committee and performed by assigned committee members and external invited reviewers.

Authors

We encourage global researchers to share their scientific findings and ideas at IAEEEE conferences. Papers submitted to the conferences must undergo restrict peer review that allows accepted papers to be involved in the conference proceedings and get published. Authors have the obligation to ensure their manuscripts meet ethical principles.

1. Authorship should be limited to individuals satisfying the criteria of authorship. The submitted version of manuscript or any change to the authorship must be read and get consent of all authors. 

2. Parallel submission will lead to immediate rejection.

3. Authors must ensure the originality of their work. Plagiarism or self-plagiarism in any form will never be acceptable.

4. Authors are accountable for disclosing any competing interests including funding sources.

5. Author must ensure accurate and complete reporting of research presented in the paper.

6. Authors may be asked to provide raw data included in the presented research for editorial review.

7. Experiments involving human subjects or animals must be approved by the authors’ institution, and comply with all relevant ethical guidelines, policies and requirements. 

Reviewers

An expert in the conference scope is welcome to become reviewers for this conference. As reviewers, they are responsible to follow the ethical guidelines at peer review stage.

1. Reviewers are expected to accept or decline any invitations in a timely manner. If an invitation must be declined, it’s helpful if reviewers are willing to suggest alternative reviewers.

2. Always give impartial and constructive feedback with feasible suggestions in a professional tone. 

3. If any sign of interest conflict or ethical issues detected, the reviewer should inform the editor promptly. 

4. Reviewers should avoid suggesting the addition of irrelevant or unnecessary references. 

5. Reviewers should keep confidential of all intellectual contents of the manuscripts and not reproduce them for personal research prior to the publication.

6. If the review report cannot be handed in by the agreed deadline, the reviewer should immediately inform the editor.

7. Reviewers should respond to the editor in a timely manner and stay available for contact.

Editors

Editors are responsible for making decisions on acceptance or rejection of manuscripts, or request revisions.

1. Prior to the peer review, the editor has the right to screen all manuscripts to filter out those with major flaws, e.g., plagiarism, duplicate publication…

2. The editor are accountable for assigning reviewers in the specific area of expertise for peer review.

3. The editor must ensure all the materials and communications regarding manuscripts submitted by the authors are kept confidential and are not used prior to the publication.

4. The editor should provide objective recommendation of editorial decision based on the review report of at least reviewers.
